According to a new forecast, more than 1.8 million illegal immigrants are expected to cross the U.S.-Mexico border this year, making it the “worst ever” on record, highlighting President Joe Biden’s failed policies.
The projection from Princeton Policy Advisors showed that a high of 1,864,000 illegal immigrants could cross the southwest border based on current trends and past averages.
The influx of large groups of migrants has resulted in severe overcrowding across all facilities, with certain holding centers running at 500% capacity.
In March, the Biden administration stopped requiring background checks for caregivers at the rapidly expanding network of sites to hold thousands of migrants children. The decision alarmed child welfare experts who say the waiver compromises safety.
New audio published by NBC News from inside a U.S. government shelter for unaccompanied migrant children in Fort Bliss, Texas, reveals allegations of sexual assault by staff toward minors
“We have already caught staff with minors inappropriately. Is that OK with you guys?” says a federal contractor running a training session with staffers inside Fort Bliss in May.
The crowd shouts back, “No!”
“I hope not,” she says.
“If you catch them, especially if it’s a staff member, you separate that minor from that person immediately,” the contractor does not mention anything about reporting the incident to supervisors.
During a meeting about one Texas facility, a doctor for the U.S. Public Health Service refused to give out information on Covid rates.
“I can’t give you daily numbers and breakouts and graphs and things like that,” he said. “Assume everyone has Covid, act appropriately. … Sorry, it’s not a great answer.”
According to the NY Times, from 2014 to 2018, the federal government received more than 4,000 complaints in four years about sexual abuse of immigrant children who were being held at government-funded detention facilities.
“The records, which involve children who had entered the country alone or had been separated from their parents, detailed allegations that adult staff members had harassed and assaulted children, including fondling and kissing minors, watching them as they showered, and raping them.”
According to a recent report, border officials are reportedly being warned by the Biden administration to prepare for the processing of more than 1,000 migrant families each day ahead of President Joe Biden’s expected plans to terminate Title 42 by the end of July.
It was also recently reported that about 50,000 migrants who crossed the southern border illegally in just the past few months have now been released in the United States without a court date according to a recent Axios report. According to officials, this move is unprecedented in US history.
Under the Biden administration, we have witnessed a record surge of illegal crossings at the US border. According to Biden’s own officials, the crossings for the fiscal year of 2021 are set to surpass 2018, 2019, and 2020 combined.
Since President Biden was inaugurated, approximately 60,000 unaccompanied minors have been processed by his administration. Just about all of them will get to stay forever, and every one of them that crosses will become the nation’s next wave of ‘dreamers.’
California foster parents are also being asked to care for a staggering 26 or more unaccompanied migrant children per household despite the legal limit being set at 6 by the state.
Foster families are also being told to vacate their homes to make room for migrant children.
